Pastor Marcus K. Jones

​

Pastor Marcus Jones is the continuing legacy of a strong Christian family. He was born to John Paul and Jewel Jones. He has three uncles M.L. Curry, S.L. Curry and F.L. Curry which are all ordained ministers and pastors. He was born and raised in Dallas, Texas. and is one of 4 children. In 1996, while still a very young man, Rev. Jones (as he is affectionately known), was called to the preaching ministry at New Saint Paul Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of Rev. Dr. M.L. Curry where he served as an Associate Minister for 5 years and then the Youth Minister for 9 Years. Pastor Jones served as a Member of the Original East Texas Baptist Association and Member of the Dallas West Interdenominational Ministerial.  In Athens, Texas shortly thereafter Pastor Jones served as the Pastor at Mt. Providence Baptist Church. He remained there for two years. While in Athens, Texas, he also worked as member of the Athens Ministerial Alliance and served as part of several Community Back to School Youth Rally events.

   In 2013 Pastor Jones connected with Union Temple Church in Gladewater, Texas where he served as Pastor for three years. God did so many wonderful things! In 2016, the Lord had another assignment for this young Pastor at St. Mary MBC of Lindale Texas where God entered them into a new season. A highly regarded Revivalist, and nationally sought after preacher; Pastor Marcus K. Jones has traveled extensively preaching the good news of Jesus Christ and compelling the lost to come to Christ. He is highly regarded by his peers as a seasoned colleague; he has had the opportunity to teach on various community related issues in both secular and spiritual arenas. He is known for his vivid and vibrant preaching and for working with youth. He believes that God has a plan for all our lives and only we can stop, prevent, or hinder our God given destiny. Pastor Jones believes that the Church is Gods’ greatest weapon to fight poverty, self-hatred, hunger, and ignorance. Out of all Pastor Jones accomplishments his most important and proudest role is that of husband to Elect Lady Karesa M. Cooper Jones and role of Father to Ky’Anndria Jones, Enygel Jones, Mystiqic Jones, Marc Anthony Jones and baby Maresa Jones.

ASSISTANT MINISTER

 

Gib Maynard is an insurance agent, and the director of marketing and sales for Dunahoe Insurance Agency in Mineola, Texas. Even more importantly Gib is an avid musician, and has been preaching the word of God since the age of fifteen when he was licensed as a minister.  Bro. Maynard resides in Golden, Texas with his wife Lauren, and his daughters Bella, and Presley. They have attended St. Mary’s Missionary Baptist since July of 2016, and each of them enjoy being involved in their church in any capacity to help forward the Gospel!
